Optimism In The Job Market

Posted on

Finally, some optimism in the job market, well let’s say cautious optimism.
The Australian Bureau of Statistics released the September Labour Force numbers earlier this month. The figures showed that part-time employment is back to pre March levels, after suffering an accelerated fall in March. Whilst full-time employment continues to falter, still 4% below March 2020 and falling.
It’s not surprising that figures from FastTracks David Page tell a similar story, their ‘new filled job’ data shows substantial growth in the engagement of casual and temporary workers.
There is optimism in the job market; however, businesses are wanting to play it safe by not committing to full-time employees for the time being.
