We would like to proudly introduce you to Managing Director of WorkforceXS Ballarat, Rebecca Ponsonby.
Rebecca opened the Ballarat franchise in May 2012 and specialises in civil construction, mining and executive recruitment and labour hire throughout Victoria and Australia. We ask her a few questions:
Q. What are the benefits of being a WorkforceXS Franchisee?
A.The biggest benefit is the support network behind the business. I get extensive assistance with payroll and financing – I only have to give them a call. Jean (CEO) and Michael (Director) have gone above and beyond to assist me in the running of my business.
In the past, I was working in other recruitment firms and their head office made me speak to multiple departments simply to get an invoice changed, and because of poor system management payroll errors were running at 20%. Now that I’m with Workforce my payroll errors are at 0%.
Q. What about the program attracted you to WorkforceXS?
A. I was thinking of consulting in recruitment or HR and a rec to rec recruiter referred to me WorkforceXS. I had a conversation with Jean. Initially I thought it wasn’t for me but Jean was supportive of my situation and after we arranged a meeting I weighed up a few things. I found their setup costs were low, they also offered an extensive system and support network and a higher profit margin than their competitors so I decided to go with WorkforceXS.
Q. What’s the point of difference that WorkforceXS offer?
A. I think that there is such a benefit to their not having an extensive hierarchy of managers, which is ubiquitous in recruitment businesses where there’s a lot of politics and chest-puffing. At WorkforceXS it’s more of an even playing field with a business partner relationship between both parties of the franchise. I feel like there was a lot of familiarity between us both and that they were able to provide me with all the support I needed and to answer all more questions. Also I felt that there was so much support provided to me to make the transition into owning my own recruitment franchise.
Q. What is unique about your WorkforceXS franchise?
A. I have worked in recruitment for more than 8 years which has allowed me to see how other recruitment businesses operate. I don’t have a hierarchy of managers and administration behind my business with the ay this franchise operates and this means that I can provide my clients with a simplified recruitment process – making it easier to service them quickly and efficiently.
Q. Do you have any advice for other people interested in a WorkforceXS franchise?
A. Go for it. If you want to start your own recruitment business, the support network is outstanding.
