Our client is seeking a talented individual to fill the role of Fitter within our Infrastructure Division. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part in our mission to provide safe, efficient, and high-quality water supply and sewerage services to the local community.

Detailed Job Description:

Primary Purpose of Position:

As a Fitter, you'll be responsible for maintaining our vital mechanical water and sewerage assets. Your contributions will guarantee the continued delivery of safe, efficient, and top-quality water supply and sewerage services in the Dubbo Regional Council area.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide Mechanical Services: Be the go-to expert in your field, offering technical insights and data for asset management. Your expertise will be critical in refurbishment, repair, and maintenance of water supply and sewerage assets. You'll also ensure new equipment installations are tested and commissioned effectively.

Asset Management: Assist in maintaining our asset database, tracking maintenance, replacement, and refurbishment of water and sewer mechanical and electrical equipment.

Emergency Response: Be ready to participate in on-call duties, ensuring swift responses to water and sewer faults in your area of expertise.

Inherent Requirements:

To excel in this role, you should have a trade certificate in Mechanical Fitting and Machining, a Class C driver's license, and certifications in confined space and first aid. You'll also need a reasonable level of fitness and be comfortable working indoors, outdoors, and in confined spaces.

Selection Criteria:

Essential:

Trade Certificate in Mechanical Fitting and Machining.

Solid work experience in the trade.

Basic computer skills.

Class C driver's licence

Desirable:

Post-trade experience in a continuous process industry.

Experience in equipment maintenance related to water filtration and sewerage treatment.

Electrical Disconnect/Reconnect Licence and experience troubleshooting Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems.

Class MR Drivers Licence.
